Book 1 - The Dormant Beast (jazik: angliski)

The Dormant Beast written and drawn by Enki Bilal, is a Franco-Belgian comic book in the sci-fi genre, and the first of a series of four volumes in French titled Tétralogie du Monstre.
The story takes place in a dystopic portrayal of the year 2023, and centers around Nike Hatzfield, a man with extraordinary memory who uses his skill to recall his violent childhood in Sarajevo during the 1990s Yugoslav wars.

The Nikopol Trilogy (jazik: angliski)

The Nikopol Trilogy comprises three science fiction graphic novels written in French by Serbian born Enki Bilal between 1980 and 1993. Translated in English and published by Humanoids Publishing under the titles Carnival of Immortals, Woman Trap and Cold Equator. In 1999, the trilogy was also published in a single album as The Nikopol Trilogy.
The central plot of the trilogy, set in 2023 Paris, follows Alcide Nikopol who returns from a 30 year sentence spent orbiting the earth under cryopreservation to find France under fascist rule following two nuclear wars.

Townscapes (jazik: angliski)

Three tales here, linked by a common character--a lean, blond man capable of amazing feats--are about small towns threatened by bigness. In The Cruise of Lost Souls (1975), weird military-scientific testing threatens an agricultural village; in Ship of Stone (1976), resort developers want to erase a Breton fishing village; and in The Town That Didn't Exist (1977), a conglomerate plans to scuttle the factory on which the livelihood of little Jedancourt depends. With the help of the supernatural forces the blond can rally, the towns fight back. The stories are equally beautiful, but each is less comical and more humorous than its predecessor.

Ovo je izdanje na bosanskom (mislim da je izdavac Publika ili tako nekako) i sken je. Ukupno su objavljene 4 price (kompletan ciklus) i mogu da se nabave po cijeni od oko 30-tak KM po komadu (oko 15 EUR) kod Sahinpasica u Sarajevu! Malo mi je tesko odvojiti 100-tinjak KM u komadu, ali mi je to svakako jedna od planiranih investicija.
Pored toga, i primjereno je da je na bosanskom, posto ciklus govori o 4 sarajevske djece i pocinje pocetkom poslednjeg nesretnog rata...

The Hunting Party (French: Partie de chasse) is a political thriller from 1983 written by Pierre Christin and illustrated by Enki Bilal. It is centered around a group of old, mostly retired or disgraced Communist Block political leaders who meet in Poland for a bear-hunting party under the guide of Soviet Presidium leader Vasili Aleksandrovič Čevčenko, an aging revolutionary leader who, while retired from official duties, still retains much of his power and political influence. The year in which the story takes place is not specified, but it appears to be set in 1983, per Sergej Šavanidze's fictional biography on page 1, which states that "... at 44 (Šavanidze was born in 1939), he is the youngest member of the Politburo".

Enki Bilal (born Enes Bilalović on October 7, 1951) is a French cartoonist and film director.

Born in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia), he moved to Paris at the age of 9. There, at 14, he met René Goscinny and with his encouragement tried turning his talent to comic books. He worked on Goscinny's magazine Pilote in the 1970s, publishing his first story, Le Bol Maudit, in 1972.

He began working with script writer Pierre Christin in 1975 on a series of dark and surreal tales.

The Nikopol trilogy (La Foire aux Immortels, La Femme Piège and Froid Équateur) took more than a decade to appear but is probably Bilal at his best, writing the script as well as doing all the artwork - the final chapter, Froid Équateur, was even awarded the book of the year award by the very serious magazine Lire and is acknowledged by the inventor of chess boxing, Iepe Rubingh, as being the inspiration for this new sport.

His latest publication has been Rendez-vous à Paris (2006), the third book in tetralogy (the Hatzfeld), this time dealing with the breakup of former Yugoslavia but from the future. The first installment came in 1998 in the shape of Le Sommeil du Monstre opening with the main character, Nike, remembering the war in a series of traumatic flashbacks. The third chapter of the tetralogy is titled Rendez-vous à Paris (2006). It gives a good indication of Bilal's popularity, being the fifth best selling new French comic of 2006 with 280,000 copies.

His cinematic career has recently been revived with the expensive Immortel (Ad Vitam) which is his first attempt to adapt his books to the screen. The film has split critics, some panning the use of CGI characters but others have seen it as a faithful reinterpretation of the books.
